Dr. Marilyn E. Moore
Dr. Marilyn E. Moore is the author of the 2019 book, Designing a Successful Tutoring Session for Struggling Readers. Dr. Moore earned a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Reading at the University of Kentucky and has taught at the college level since 1986. Other work experiences include 14 years of teaching elementary education, supervising student teachers, and serving on Dissertation Committees in the area of Teacher Education. She currently serves as full professor at National University where she is the Faculty Reading Program Director and currently serves on department, school, and university assessment committees. She developed the Reading & Literacy Added Authorization (RLAA) program and serves as the Director of this RLAA state credential program. She presents regularly at state, national, and international conferences and has published in Reading Psychology, Educational Leadership, Yearbook of the National Reading Conference, Reading Today Online, and many state journals. As a result of her 1995 Reading Psychology publication, Interactive computer software: The effects on young children•s reading achievement, she was interviewed and published in USA TODAY, Boston Sunday Globe, School Library Journal, and Parenting Magazine.
